James "Jim" Klukas
Born in Loomis, Wisconsin on Nov 12, 1947
Died on Feb 22, 2018 and resided in Crivitz, Wisconsin
age 70, of Crivitz, ended his battle with cancer on Thursday, February 22nd, 2018 with family by his side. Born November 12th, 1947, in Loomis, to Adriana & Carl Klukas, James grew up in Loomis and graduated from Crivitz High school in 1965. He served with honors in the United States Army in Vietnam, and was a member of the Loomis Legion post. On June, 24th 1972, he married Gail (Olson) Klukas, of Lombard, Illinois, and the two built a beautiful life together in Middle Inlet.
Gail survives him, along with their two children, Jacob (Amanda) Klukas, and his children, Madelyn, Charlotte, Lydia; daughter, Rachel (Sauro) Mosti and her son, Italo; and two sisters: Judy (Mike) Burbey and Carla (Bob) Chrusniak.
Jim was a skilled and avid fisherman and hunter. He loved the outdoors, boating, berry-picking, gardening, and camping. He was a well-liked rural letter carrier for 30 years, who made hand- deliveries and was often awarded with sweets from members of his route. He retired in 2003, and was able to enjoy life to the fullest, living full days adventuring in the outdoors.
Family and friends may call on Monday February 26, 2018, at New Life Church in Crivitz from 10am until the time of the funeral at 12pm. Pastor Derek Strening is officiating. Full Military Honors will be provided by the Loomis American Legion. Guests are welcomed to join the family afterward for a Celebration of Life meal at the church
