age 69, of Menominee, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly Monday January 22, 2018 at Lakeland Medical Center in Florida with family by her side. She was born in Marinette on June 19, 1948; daughter of the late Charles and Stella (Hergan) Downs. In 1975, Sue was united in marriage to her true love Chuck Paro. Sue and Chuck loved to travel and had many memorable adventures. Sue was primarily a homemaker, however, as her children grew, she began working at Ableman Clothing in Bessemer, Michigan, where she indulged in shopping for her children and grandchildren. Sue loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. She also enjoyed riding with the top down in her new convertible, wintering in Florida, Disney, shopping, fishing, golfing, talking on the phone, playing cards, Scrabble and bowling. Sue adored the beach and could be found relaxing in the sun whenever she had a chance – as long as there were no bees. Sue was a long standing member of St. Agnes Catholic Church.
Sue is survived by her four children: Selina Paro of Lakeland, Florida; Shannon Paro (Meryl Kelch) of Weston; Chadd Paro of Marinette; and Amy Deschane (Scott Kamps) of Crivitz; eleven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She is survived by her siblings: Chuck Downs, Rick (Michelle) Downs and Jean (Jack) Ehlinger. Sue is preceded in death by her husband, Chuck.
