Robert "Bob" Deau Sr.

Born in Menominee, Michigan on Jan 18, 1932

Died on Jan 07, 2018 and resided in Amberg, Wisconsin

age 85, of Amberg, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 7, 2018, at his home surrounded by family.  He was born in Menominee, Michigan on January 18, 1932; son of the late Russell and Ruth (Seymour) Deau.  Robert enlisted in the Air Force and served his Country honorably during the Korean War.  He was united in marriage to his wife Karen on February 15, 1958.  During his earlier years, he was employed by Illinois Bell Company for 35 years and was a Charter member of the Buffalo Grove Fire Department.  After retirement he and Karen moved to Amberg in the middle 1990’s.  Robert was involved with the AMVETS and the Amberg American Legion.  He enjoyed fishing, berry picking, canning and wood working.  He took great pride in caring for his immaculate lawn and he loved rooting for his Green Bay Packers.


Robert is survived by his four children:  Robert Deau Jr., Linda (Chris) Schoon, Lori Jones and Bradley (Joyce) Deau; three grandchildren:  Steven and Nicole Deau, and Aimee Jones; great grandchild, Jamee Drane; and a brother, Ronald (Pat) Deau.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen on November 30, 2017; and six siblings.


Family and friends may call on Friday January 12, 2017, at Roubal Funeral Home from 3pm to 6pm and again on Saturday January 13, at United Presbyterian Church in Amberg from 10am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11am.  Pastor Don Landwehr will officiate.  Burial will be in the Amberg Cemetery immediately after the funeral with full military honors provided by the Amberg American Legion Post #428.
