William

William "Bill" Perry

Born in Daggett, Michigan on Aug 19, 1950

Died on Dec 12, 2017 and resided in Wausaukee, Wisconsin

age 67, of Wausaukee, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday December 12, 2017, at his home.  He was born in Daggett, Michigan on August 19, 1950; son of the late William and Ann (Boshan) Perry.  We’re not exactly sure what happened, but we are pretty sure Bill died while doing what he loved – getting ready to put some steaks on the grill.  Bill and Lucy were married in 1973 and he wooed her to move up north.  Eight years later came their bouncing baby girl.  He then convinced her to move to the country and buy a house with 40 acres 32 years ago and has never looked back.  He loved the view out his picture window of the Wausaukee River.  He spent hours one year constructing a squirrel proof bird feeder and laughed hysterically when he outsmarted the squirrel.  Bill enjoyed talking hunting and fishing (or just talking in general) with anyone.  You often had to convince him to go somewhere, and then convince him again to leave.  His heart was full as he became a grandfather this year – he loved traveling to Madison to visit “his boy”. He will be greatly missed by his family and those who came to know him in the town he has always called home.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Lucy; his daughter, Melissa (Randy) Versnik of Oregon, Wisconsin; his grandson, Jordan Vincent Versnik; his sister, Barbara (Roger) McClellan; a sister-in-law, Diane (Edward) McAlpine; and three nephews:  Jason and Jeremy McAlpine and Ron (Amy) McClellan.
