Charles W. "Chuck" Boshan

age 88, of Wausaukee, passed away at the Oscar G. Johnson Community Living Center on Tuesday December 5, 2017, after a lengthy battle with prostate cancer. He was born on November 11, 1929, to Benedict and Stephania (Korbella) Boshan, the sixth son in a family of seven children. He attended Wausaukee Schools and then enlisted in the Marine Corp. in March 1948. He served in Japan and a combat tour in Korea. He retired from the Marines after 12 years of service. Chuck was employed by Neverman Oil until October 1983, when he was stricken by a severe case of Guillians Barre (French polio). He never fully recovered physically from this ailment but never let it dull his spirit or his faith in God. He spent time repairing cars and lawnmowers with his bent fingers and always had a smile for those in his life. In the past decade he became wheelchair bound. He filled his days with reading and acquiring information which he shared with those he knew.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings. He is survived by nieces and nephews: Paulette Fugate (LeRoy Wagner), Shirley Kralovetz, John G. (Janet) Boshan, Pat Boshen, Peggy Ebban, Bill (Lucy) Perry, and Barbara (Roger) McClellan.
Visitation will be Thursday December 14, 2017, at Roubal Funeral Home from 11 am to 1 pm with service to follow. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery this spring. Full Military Honors will be provided by the Amberg American Legion.
