William R.

William R. "Billy" Philipps

Born in Marinette, Wisconsin on Feb 17, 1981

Died on Sep 05, 2017 and resided in Green Bay, Wisconsin

age 36, of Green Bay, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital from the injuries sustained in a tragic fall.  Billy was a lover of life.  No matter what his circumstances were in life, he always had a smile or a sly smirk for you.  He had the biggest heart around.  He was a lover of family – unconditionally – his mom, dad, daughter, brother and all of his family and friends.  If you needed him, he would do absolutely anything he could to help.  He loved fishing, and he was an awesome gardener.  His Mom instilled in him a love of cooking, and he was an amazing chef – although he and his Mom frequently had a difference of opinion as to “who’s recipe was best”.  He loved to play pool with his Dad – who gave him lessons until he started beating his Dad, and then the lessons stopped.  One of his favorite pastimes was running the trails with the ATV’s – mud running through the big puddles with his Dad and brother.

Billy is survived by his Mom and Dad:  Barb and Pat Elias; daughter, Toriana; brother, Blake, all from Wausaukee; also, his grandmothers: Shirley Philipps and Lenore Elias.  He is further survived by many, many aunts, uncles, cousins and a lot of amazing friends that have helped and supported him throughout his years.  He was preceded in death by his father, Richard “Ricky”; and his grandparents:  Marvin Philipps, Goldie Walton, and Mike Elias.

The family feels that Billy would want a casual gathering to celebrate his life.  For his funeral service, please don’t fret over attire – in fact, if you have a flannel shirt or bini knit hat to wear – Billy would love that, as it was his favorite attire!

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 10th, 2017, at the Roubal Funeral Home in Wausaukee.  Visitation will start at 11 a.m. until the time of services.  There will be a luncheon to follow at the Bullpen in Athelstane after the service.
