Died on Sep 05, 2017 and resided in Pembine, Wisconsin

Age 88, of Pembine, died Tuesday September 5, 2017, at Dickinson County Hospital.  She was born in Amberg on October 23, 1928; to the late Elmer and Inez (Mattison) Bezier.  Bertie loved being a mother and grandmother and all the time spent with her family.


Bertie is survived by her husband, Joe; six children:  Joe (Daniela Albidone) Shafer, Debbie (Eric) Coloney, Donna (Ken) Nolan, David (Christine Hjortness) Shafer, Gary (Craig Peterson) Shafer, and Greg (Becky) Shafer; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a brother Doug (Barbara) Bezier.  She was preceded in death by two grandchildren:  Abigail and Gregory; along with two brothers:  Claude and Alton.


Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday September 12, 2017, at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Pembine with Father Matt Settle officiating.  Visitation will start at 10 a.m.  Interment is in the Pembine Cemetery.


Bertie’s family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Dickinson County Hospital along with Dr. Olson for the compassionate care she received.


In Lieu of Flowers, memorials are preferred to the Niagara Food Pantry or Pembine Rescue Squad.


Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting the family with arrangements.
